What Types of Tree Survey Are Available in Troon?
Troon property owners choose from three survey types: a Tree Condition Report for individual tree health, a Mortgage Tree Report for lender compliance, and a BS5837 survey for planning applications.
Tree Condition Reports (TCR)
A Tree Condition Report assesses the health, structure and stability of a specific tree or group of trees. Homeowners, insurers and property managers request this report to identify hazards before they escalate.
Mortgage Tree Reports (MTR)
A Mortgage Tree Report becomes required when a lender's valuation surveyor identifies trees within influencing distance of a property. The report satisfies the tree-related conditions set by major UK lenders before completion.
BS5837 Tree Surveys
A BS5837 survey categorises every tree on site into one of four grades, sets root protection areas and produces a tree constraints plan. South Ayrshire Council requires this survey for planning applications affecting trees.
